Privacy at VYBE.

VYBE is a passenger-experience beta. This page explains the categories of information the beta may process and the third-party services involved.

Accounts and preferences

When you create an account, VYBE uses Supabase for authentication and may store your profile, ride preferences, saved VYBEs, ride membership and recommendation feedback.

Location and route context

When you choose to use route-based features, origin, destination and location context may be sent to mapping/place providers such as Google to calculate routes and discover real places. VYBE does not require background location simply to open the website.

AI personalization

Trip context and provider-grounded candidate data may be sent to an AI provider to rank or explain recommendations. VYBE is designed so real-world businesses and places come from real provider data rather than being invented by the AI layer.

Voice

Voice features activate only when you choose to use them. Depending on the device/browser and current configuration, speech recognition may be handled by the browser or a connected speech provider. The resulting transcript and current ride context may be sent to VYBE's AI services to respond. Text input remains available.

Shared rides

Passengers who join the same VYBE may receive access to shared ride context and participant information appropriate to that ride. Do not put sensitive information into display names, trip notes or voice prompts.

Early access

If you join the early-access list, VYBE stores the name, email address and interest category you submit so product updates or beta invitations can be sent later.

Third-party services

Google, music providers, AI providers and other connected services apply their own privacy policies when their services are used. VYBE may change providers as the beta evolves.

Your choices

You can choose not to use voice, location-dependent discovery or shared rides. Signed-in users can permanently delete their VYBE account from the app. Account deletion removes the account profile, preferences, saved VYBEs, ride memberships, recommendation feedback and user-owned ride data associated with that account. Early-access submissions are maintained separately from app accounts.
